É preciso classificar as estrias quanto ao seu estado inflamatório:

1) Vermelhas: são aquelas de surgimento mais recente, tem essa coloração devido ao rompimento sanguíneo. Os tratamentoos iniciados nessa fase tem melhor resultado, pois as células continuam vivas e com maior capacidade regenerativa.

2) Brancas (ou nacaradas): estrias mais antigas, tem essa coloração porque deixam de produzir a melanina no local onde a pele se rompe. Os tratamentos iniciados nessa fase conseguem apenas estreitá-las e raramente sumir com todas elas.

2) White (striae alba): older stretch marks, they have this color because they fail to produce melanin in the skin (where it breaks). 1) Galvanopuntura (Eletrolifting) / Galvanotherapy (Microamperage stimulation):

Precauções e contra-indicações: pessoas portadoras de diabetes, hemofilia, síndrome de Cushing, propensão a quelóides, psoríases, vitiligo, ou pessoas que fazem uso de anti-inflamatórios sem corticóides, esteróides, corticosteróides.

Método terapêutico que utiliza o CO2 (dióxido de carbono) subcutâneo para o tratamento de alterações estéticas; nas estrias atua aumentando a circulação e oxigenação local e consequentemente, estimula a produção de colágen, assim aproxima as bordas das estrias. Utilizado no tratamento das estrias brancas.
