Queda de cabelo e tratamentos! Hair loss and its treatments!

The skin is the largest organ in the body and has two layers: the epidermis and dermis.
The hair is formed in the dermis. The hair follicle (where hair is born), is fed by blood vessels inside a bulb. It always has a sebaceous gland next to it (top right) and an erector muscle of hair (below the gland) which is stimulated when we have cold sensations or chills.

Fase Anágena (fase do Crescimento):

The whole body has hair, except the palms of the hands and feet soles. There are approximately five million hair follicles (structure that form the hair in humans) in each individual.
The organic hair cycle is divided into three phases. Anagen (growth), Catagen (
involuting) and Telogen (resting). Each phase has a diferent duration. In humans, each hair is in a separate phase, as if all were in the same phase at each end of a cycle would increase a total hair loss leaving the individual bald.

Anagen Phase (growth phase):
At this stage, the duration of activity of the follicles varies by race, region where the person lives, the weather (season) and age. The anagen stage lasts for 3-7 years. On the scalp in humans, 80% to 85% of the follicles are in this phase, which is followed by a transitional phase, relatively short.
Phase Catagen: (Involuting)
This phase lasts two to three weeks, and there are 1% of the follicles.
Telogen Phase: (
Resting)
15% of the follicles are in this stage. It is considered normal loss of up to 100 hairs per day. Above that, we recommend an investigation.

Many people who suffer from hair loss often seek a solution on their own. The right thing to do is look for a medical specialist in hair loss, so that he can give the correct and early diagnosis to help fight the hair loss. In more "superficial" cases the causes can be the lack of vitamins (poor diet), stress, climate change. It's possible that the causes of excessive hair loss are by genetic factors or diseases themselves, such as alopecia (partial reduction or total body hair or scalp hair). In such cases, when treatment is superficial, the problem persists and gets worse.

CAUSAS POSSÍVEIS DA QUEDA:

- Estresse

POSSIBLE CAUSES OF HAIR LOSS:

- Stress
- Post baby delivery
- Lack of vitamins, anemia, others
- Genetics
- Chemicals (hair dye, formaldehyde, ammonia, others.)
- Comb with aggression and excess hair dryer.

TRATAMENTOS:

- Alta frequencia: bactericida (diminui oleosidade) e no couro cabeludo estimula a circulação e oxigenação local, dessa forma estimula o crescimento do pelo.

TREATMENTS:

 - Laser: When hair is in resting phase of the growth cycle and follicles are still alive, exposure to low-level laser light stimulates growth, which can make a noticeable difference. However, not yet known what the optimum intensity of the laser or the frequency with which should be used.
- Carboxytherapy: stimulates scalp circulation and oxygenation site, thereby stimulating growth of hair.
- LED (Light Emitting Diode): the blue light is bactericidal and helps reduce oiliness and red light stimulates the local circulation and oxygenation, thus stimulates the growth of hair.
- Shampoos appropriate and minoxidil-based formulas (see your dermatologist).
- High frequency: bactericidal (decrease oiliness) on the scalp and stimulates the local circulation and oxygenation, thus stimulates the growth of hair.
